Jesus Does Not Force You To Serve Him

Across the world there are many religions. Most will persecute you if you do not follow their god(s). Some will rape, torture and murder you for not following their god and religious system. Jesus the Messiah who is God and went to the cross to pay the price for sin, does not force anyone to follow him. If someone or some religious system is forcing their beliefs upon you, they are not of God, even if they come to you in the name of Jesus the Messiah.

True followers of Jesus are commanded by Jesus:
  • Luke 6: 27“But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. 28Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who insult you. 35Rather, love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind even to ungrateful and evil people. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” ISV

Jesus showed his love on the cross. He offers eternal life to those who believe and follow him. He does not force people to believe in him or follow him.
  • John 3: 16“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his unique Son so that everyone who believes in him might not be lost but have eternal life. 17Because God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s unique Son. 19And this is the basis for judgment: The light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light because their actions were evil. 20Everyone who practices wickedness hates the light and does not come to the light, so that his actions may not be exposed. 21But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may become evident that his actions have God’s approval.” ISV

Why would such a God be hated and his children be persecuted so horribly? Because Jesus Christ said we must believe he is the Son of God who paid the price for sin on the cross. Three days later he rose again. We are to stop sinning and follow him. If we sin we are to turn away from that sin (repent) and continue to follow Jesus' teachings. Neither Jesus or his true followers will persecute or force people to follow him. We are commanded to love even those who hate us.

Please watch these two videos which expose the severe persecution of Christians in Pakistan. They so need our help. Please watch it and support this ministry as you feel led.
