Obedience And Those Who Obey The Gospel

The disciple John tells us about Jesus the Son of God, who is the only hope for humanity who is defiled by sin. Without Jesus taking the wrath of his Father for our sin, we would all go to hell forever. Have we truly believed in his name? Have we surrendered our lives to him and repented, or do we continue to practice sinning? It is about heaven or hell.

Are you a prodigal who has wondered away from God? Return while there is still time. Do not continue to harden your heart. Christ receiveth sinful men.

John 1 ISV

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
  • 7He came as a witness to testify about the light, so that all might believe because of him.
  • 8Johnc was not the light, but he camed to testify about the light.
  • 9Thise was the true light that enlightens every person by his coming into the world.f
  • 10He was in the world, and the world was made through him. Yet the world did not recognize him.

11He came to his own creation,g yet his own people did not receive him
  • 12However, to all who received him, those believing in his name
  • he gave authority to become God’s children,
  • 13who were born, not merely in a genetic sense,h
  • nor from lust,i
  • nor from man’s desire,
  • but from the will ofj God.
