Are We Looking To Man Or To God For The Truth?

The true church is made up of those who have been born again. The early church had the entire body of Christ, "the believers", participating by each of the men using their spiritual gift when they came together. They met from house to house. In our day, believers go to a building they call "church". Many never open their bible and get fed during the week. They have appointed a king to give them the word of God and expect him to feed them. This results in ignorant believers and the result is the same as when the Catholic church read the bible in Latin, which the people could not understand at all

This is what the children of Israel did when God talked to them at Mt. Sinai. They told Moses to talk to God, then tell them what God said. They did not want to hear from God directly because it scared them!! Today the kings give short sermons which mostly tickle the ears with things the audience enjoys. The preachers/kings spend most of their time giving their own opinions, not God's Word. Is this not arrogance? See verse 5 below.

Brothers and sisters, how much is your soul worth? Do you trust it to a preacher, to a man? I challenge you to test your preacher's commitment to warning you. Simply read only the scriptures I have posted over the last several months. This will eliminate any input from me. Then go to church and see if you are not being deprived of the truth. Then go after God on your own, in prayer and reading his letters in the Bible to you! Get to know the New Testament first. It is the revealing of the Old Testament.

God bless your journey!

1 Peter 5 ISV

1Therefore, as a fellow elder, a witness of the Messiah’sa sufferings, and one who shares in the glory to be revealed, I appeal to the elders among you:
  • 2Be shepherds of God’s flock that is among you,
  • watching over it,
  • not because you must but because you want to,
  • and not greedily but eagerly, as God desires.
  • 3Do not lord it over the people entrusted to you, but be examples to the flock.
  • 4Then, when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the victor’s crown of glory that will never fade away.

Be Humble and Alert
5In a similar way, you young people must submit to the elders.b All of you must clothe yourselves with humility for the sake of each other, because:
God opposes the arrogant,
but gives grace to the humble.”c
6Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
  • 7Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you.
  • 8Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
  • 9Resist him and be firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.
10After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you by the Messiahd Jesuse to his eternal glory, will
  • restore you,
  • establish you,
  • strengthen you,
  • and support you.
11Power belongsf to him forever and ever! Amen.

12Through Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written this short letter to encourage you and to testify that this is to be the true grace of God in which you are to stand firm! 13Your sister churchg in Babylon, chosen along with you, sends you greetings, as does Mark, whom I regard as a son. 14Greet one another with a loving kiss. Peace be to all of you who are in the Messiah!h
