How Can A Person Be Forgiven Of Their Sins?

The Apostle Paul tells the true believers that most of the Jew's minds/hearts are hardened to Jesus the Messiah. This is also the case with us the Gentiles. Paul tells us that it is only in union with Jesus that the "veil" is removed.

How do sinners, both Jew and Gentile have this veil of darkness removed? As a child I was raised in Calvinism. I would later teach it, but we taught that their is nothing we can do to be saved. Paul tells us below that "whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is removed" and we then become more and more like the Messiah Jesus!!!!!

Is this your story? Have you turned from darkness to Light? Have you repented and turned from your sin to follow Jesus? If you have not or if you have back slidden, turn to Jesus today and he will remove the veil of darkness from you!

If while there is time, we do not repent and receive God's free pardon, which was purchased with His Son's own blood, we will perish.....eternally separated from God and forever being punished for our sin. Those in hell can no longer sin and pollute God's creation. The torment of hell is so horrible, people and fallen angels can no longer sin. Sin will be no more. There is a day when God will say enough! Please do not die rejecting the Savior of the World. He paid the price for sin. If we reject him, we are left in our sin and the wrath of God abides upon us at this very moment. Turn while there is time.

2 Corinthians 3 ISV

12Therefore, since we have such a hope, we speak very boldly,

  • 13not like Moses, who kept covering his face with a veil to keep the people of Israel from gazing at the end of what was fading away.
  • 14However, their minds were hardened, for to this day the same veil is still there when they read the old covenant
  • Only in union with the Messiahe is that veil removed.f
  • 15Yet even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.
  • 16But whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.
  • 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Lord’s Spirit is, there is freedom.
  • 18As all of us reflect the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces
  • we are becoming more like him with ever-increasing glory by the Lord’s Spirit.
