Recognizing False Teachers, Prophets, And Ear Ticklers - The Path To Discernment

First, please hear Jesus the Messiah. His words are life and he helps us see the truth!  In a day and time, when it appears there are so many preachers of God, there are not. Hear the Son of God:

• 7Won’t God grant his chosen people justice when they cry out to him day and night? Is he slow to help them? 8I tell you, he will give them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” Luke 18 ISV

Luke also gives a very serious warning. Keep in mind that Satan has had 2,000, years to perfect his deception. 

• 25“Now I know that none of you among whom I traveled preaching about the kingdom will ever see my face again. 26I therefore declare to you today that I’m not responsible for the blood of any of you,27because I never shrank from telling you the whole plan of God. 28Pay attention to yourselves and to the entire flock over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to be shepherds of God’sh church, which he acquired with his own blood. 29I know that when I’m gone, savage wolves will come among you and not spare the flock. 30Indeed, some of your own men will arise and distort the truth in order to lure the disciples into following them. 31So be alert! Remember that for three years, night and day, I never stopped tearfully warning each of you. Acts 20 ISV

Quit trusting in teachers as your soul is too important to trust any man. Satan has infiltrated the pulpits just as communism has infiltrated our government. There are relatively very few teachers who teach the whole counsel of God. This should make sense as Jesus told us there are not many who enter in to true life. 

Matthew 7 ISV

• 13“Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the road is spacious that leads to destruction, and many people are entering by it. 14How narrow is the gate and how constricted is the road that leads to life, and there aren’t many people who find it!”

It is foolish to take the opinions of teachers when we have the written Word of God!! These charlatans are fleecing the sheep and goats, destroying souls, and getting rich! 

Just watch them. They give a verse or so and then their silly stories and opinions for 30 to 40 minutes. They are worldly motivational speakers, comedians, and entertainers. They do not teach the whole counsel of God and warn the people to flee from the wrath to come. They think their words are more important than God's! You will not hear serious messages about sins such as abortion, fornication, pornography, homosexuality, idolatry, or the necessity of protecting your eyes and ears from the filth of this world system. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. They are setting the stage for the anti-Christ. Satan wants your and your families souls to go to the lake of fire with him.   

Getting Free From False Teaching And Ear Tickling Preachers

To get free, you must look to Jesus: 

• Repent of your sins. (Change the way you think and act towards sin.)
• Trust God to teach you as you read. 
• Seek the Lord with all your heart. 
• Protect your eyes and ears from the filth of this world. 
• Go through the New Testament slowly. 

You need to understand the New Testament scriptures first, then go to the Old Testament. Do not forsake assembling together with other believers who love God and whose lives show it. You must know the scriptures so you can judge a teacher's words. 

Starting in the New Testament, read the scriptures very slowly. As you read, continually ask yourself:

• Do I truly believe what you just read? 
• Is it evident in the way I live? 
• Does it contradict what I have been taught? 

When you come to a verse or passage that disagrees with what you have been taught, or do not understand the passage, mark the scripture and ask the Father to help you. Continue on reading when you feel the Lord wants you to. Sometimes I have read the same passage in context every day until I received an answer or peace from the Lord. The more your eyes are opened to the truths in the scriptures, the more you will see how false so many teachers are. No matter what, the scriptures are to rule over what we believe or have been taught. 

If you grew up in the bible or know it very well, it will be extremely important to use another respected translation. This will help prevent you from just skipping over the verses, which you must not do. When you think the new translation must be wrong, go back to your favorite translation and read it. You will be shocked as it likely says the same thing, but you may have been mis-taught. The "God's Word" translation is what started me on this journey. I kept going back to the King James version, thinking "God's Word" translation was inaccurate, but for the most part, it was not.. 

It is worth the journey!!! You will never be the same!
