Christian, Who is Your Teacher? God or Man?

Brothers and sisters,

Why would you seek after a teacher for your doctrines when God has given you the Holy Scriptures? I will tell you why. Laziness. I spent several decades in laziness and subsequently reaped a mind filled with the false teachings of my teachers.

If you desire to be a Christian, you must turn from your sins and to the Father. You must declare Jesus Christ is Lord. If you have not been baptized in water, you must do so and seek from the Father, the filling of the Holy Spirit who gives us power to overcome.

Jesus told us that when He left, His Father would send the Holy Spirit who WOULD TEACH US! Do you believe what Jesus said?

  • 25“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. 26“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. John 14 NASB
Why are millions looking for a teacher when we have the written Word of God? Fearfully, a great number do this because the teachers tickle their ears and make them feel good while they are on their way to hell. This goes for all denominations.

Do you really know what Jesus and His Apostles said, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit?
  • 13Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby. 14For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it. Matthew 7 NASB

  • Paul warns us about teachers! Satan has had 1900 years to raise up false teachers and false doctrines!!  29I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; 30and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.31“Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.  (Paul was extremely concerned about false teachers!) Acts 20 NASB
  • 1And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.2For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2 NASB
  • 1For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain, 2but after we had already suffered and been mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition. 3For our exhortation does not come from error or impurity or by way of deceit; 4but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who examines our hearts. 5For we never came with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed—God is witness— 6nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, even though as apostles of Christ we might have asserted our authority. 1 Thessalonians 2 NASB
  • 25The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.
Please know that there are pastors who honor God and teach the best that they can. They will still have error. You, however, must learn the New Testament so you can know the truth. You must believe what is written, even when the teachers explain it away. Take it to the Father! He does not deceive, lie or trick people! He is Truth!!!!
