Will You Die For Jesus the Messiah? Are You Dying Now?

Brothers and sisters, perilous times are upon us as the Word of God prophesied would come. Are you dying to the things your old nature wants or are you living for the cares of this world and yourself? There is a day quickly approaching when we all will be exposed. The righteous and the wicked. Many are turning from their righteousness and doing those things that are wicked. Few are turning from their wickedness to righteous. Today is the day of salvation. How we will die is what matters, as we will be judged for what we have done. If you die today, are you living for Jesus the Messiah or yourself? If you are not living for Jesus now, how will you stand for Him and give your life when persecution comes and you are told to deny Christ or lose your head?

Matthew 16:24 ISV
Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone wants to follow me, he must deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow me continuously."

Ephesians 2 ISV
1You used to be dead because of your offenses and sins 2that you once practiced as you lived according to the ways of this present world and according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now active in those who are disobedient.a 3Indeed, all of us once behaved likeb them in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of our flesh and senses. By nature we were destined forc wrath, just like everyone else.

1 Peter 4 ISV
1Therefore, since the Messiaha suffered in a mortal body,b you, too, must arm yourselves with the same determination, because the person who has suffered in a mortal body has stopped sinning, 2so that he can live the rest of his mortal lifec guided, not by human desires, but by the will of God3For you spent enough time in the past doing what the gentiles like to do, living in sensuality, sinful desires, drunkenness, wild celebrations, drinking parties, and detestable idolatry. 4They insult you now because they are surprised that you are no longer joining them in the same excesses of wild living. 5They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6Indeed, this is why the gospel was proclaimed even to those who have died, so that they could be judged in their mortal flesh like all humans and live in the spiritual realm like God.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Galations 5 ISV
13For you, brothers, were called to freedom. Only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity to gratify your flesh, but through love make it your habit to serve one another. 14For the whole Law is summarized in a single statement: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.”k15But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you are not destroyed by each other16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will never fulfill the desires of the flesh17For what the flesh wants is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, and so you do not do what you want to do. 18But if you are being led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

19Now the actions of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, promiscuity, 20idolatry, witchcraft,l hatred, rivalry, jealously, outbursts of anger, quarrels, conflicts, factions, 21envy, murder,m drunkenness, wild partying, and things like that. I am telling you now, as I have told you in the past, that people who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,n 23gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. 24Now those who belong to the Messiaho Jesus have crucified their flesh with its passions and desires25Since we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also be guided. 26Let’s stop being arrogant, provoking one another and envying one another.                                                                                                                                                                                                           Ezekiel 18 ISV
23“I don’t take delight in the death of the wicked, do I?” asks the Lord GOD. “Shouldn’t I rather delightj when he turns from his wicked ways and lives24But when the righteous person abandons his righteous deeds and commits evil, detestable practices, as wicked people do, he won’t live, will he? None of the righteous acts that he had done will be remembered. He’ll die in his treacherous unfaithfulness and sins that he had committed.”

Hebrews 3 ISV
12See to it, my brothers, that no evil, unbelieving heart is found in any of you, as shown by your turning away from the living God.13Instead, continue to encourage one another every day, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin14because we are the Messiah’sh partners only if we hold on to our original confidence to the end.i 15As it is said,
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as they did when they provoked me.”j
16Now who heard him and provoked him? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt ledk by Moses? 17And with whom was he angry for 40 years? Was it not with those who sinned and whose bodies fell dead in the wilderness? 18And to whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest? It was to those who disobeyed him, was it not? 19So we see that they were unable to enter because of their unbelief.

If you are following the TV preachers and those teachers who are building large crowds, you are in serious trouble. These teachers were prophesied to come. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. Clouds without rain. They will lead you to hell. Please get into the New Testament. Read it. Believe what is says as it is written. Do not let ANY teacher explain it away. YOU WILL NOT HEAR THE ABOVE VERSES BY THE WOLVES AND HIRED SHEPHERDS. I BEG YOU NOT TO LISTEN TO THEM, BUT LISTEN TO THE NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES AND BELIEVE WHAT IS WRITTEN. IT IS ABOUT YOUR SOUL!!! PLEASE.....TRUST NO MAN WITH YOUR SOUL!

  1. I believe all churches are corrupted and the only way to truly know God is to read the bible yourself like it's says: But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But I am a sinner and find it hard to turn away from what you say above.

  2. I understand. I really do. We are at war with our old nature. The verse you quote from Matthew 6 is simply stating we are not to be proud and let our old nature seek praise for what we do in public. When we are born again, we receive the Holy Spirit. In Galations 5 (above), we are told we can crucify the flesh.(our old nature) as we have the Holy Spirit.

No one walks perfectly and if we confess our sins, Christ is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. BUT, unlike the false teachers of our day falsely teach grace covers sin, we are still under the command to stop sinning. As Paul said, "Shall we sin that grace may abound? God forbid! How can we who are dead to sin live any longer therein?" The true children of God are called to stop sinning. There is no excuse given for sinning in the New Testament.

As to your words "But I am a sinner and find it hard to turn away from what you say above.", If you have been born again, you are a new creature in Christ. You are commanded to crucify your old nature. As you look to the Lord and seek to crucify your old nature, your spirit will grow in strength and your old nature will have less and less hold on you. It is your goal! You will never be able to relax and let the old nature have its way, but you will overcome in Christ. The children of God are no longer defined as sinners unless they fall away. As to the old nature we war with, I have a story to tell you.

A man I know which I will call Joe, told me he could not stop lusting after women, no matter how hard he tried. Immediately I received an understanding to explain to him. I said Joe, what if the Lord came to you and told you that for 30 days you were to keep your 3 year old daughter by your side no matter where you go and if you lust after a woman, your precious daughter will die instantly. He immediately blurted out a long list of tough things he he would go through to make sure that could not happen. I looked at Joe and said "Joe, you will do that for your daughter, but you will not do it for the Lord". He fell back into his chair and moaned.

If you have been born again, you have the Holy Spirit. Crucify your old nature. You will have joy unspeakable. You will be an over comer. If you slip, get back on track immediately and continue to crucify your old nature. I give my testimony in previous posts. You may be encouraged to read it. The Lord showed me my old nature in 2010. I wept with sadness and joy.

  3. Brilliant story at the end I could be that Joe :) and I get your meaning thanks! But I struggle with born again, do you being born again not keep God's law and commandments the Sabbath and the holy days? I was brought up in the Roman catholic church and since I have read the word for myself i know that they are so far from the truth that I can't believe billions around the world believe their false doctrine, I have asked God to lead me on the straight n narrow path he speaks about and I know born again Christians who believe that Jesus saves them no matter what but I don't believe that I think we have to do both keep the law/commandments and faith in Jesus what is your thinking on this sorry for all the questions but I like to know others perspective

    1. It is the story of each of us and the reason Jesus came to pay the price for sin. We first see the statement "born again" coming from Jesus in John 3:

"1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?"

We see Jesus tell this Pharisee that he must be born again and then Jesus sounds like he is surprised that Nicodemus does not understand being born again. I believe this may be the result of Nicodemus' lack of understanding Ezekiel 18, when Jesus said

"30Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. 31Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? 32For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

I am thrilled the Lord has revealed the the evil of the Roman Catholic Church and given you understanding about those who claim to be Christians and are not obedient. We cannot earn salvation as Jesus paid the price for sin when he hung on the cross, but we are not to continue in willful sinning, especially those sins listed in the New Testament by Jesus and his Apostles, which, when practiced, lead to the eternal lake of fire.

For the most part, the churches in the West are in apostasy and filled with wolves in sheep's clothing, false teachers and hired shepherds who do not care for the sheep. Stay in the New Testament and ask the Father in Heaven to help you understand. The scriptures were written by common men for common men and women. You need to surrender your life to Jesus and the Holy Spirit will help you.

Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts above everything else for out of it come the issues of life. Do not put evil things into your mind and read the scriptures. The Father will help you.

    1. Keep reading the New Testament. Protect your mind from sinful things. Look to the Father in heaven. The Lord has given you understanding. Go after Him with all you have. Love your family and teach them. I am a fellow servant of Jesus. You can contact me anytime! There is a delay when you post as some people will write evil things so I have to screen them.

    2. I am sorry but I missed your question about the Sabbath, Holy days and the commandments. The New Testatment does not mention Sabbath after the cross. Jesus is the Sabbath fulfilled. He paid the price for sin and when we trust in Him and follow him in obedience, we rest in Jesus. He is our Sabbath. Holy days are no longer mandatory, per Paul the Apostle. Jesus left us with 2 commandments. Love the Lord your God with all your heart.....and love your neighbor as yourself.
