The Warnings in the Book of Romans Chapters 4-6

Please brothers and sisters, we must judge ourselves. When we read the warnings we should not read them thinking they do not apply to us and that we cannot fall away. These warnings were given by Jesus to his disciples! It is a war to judge yourself. Jesus warned his disciples that if they did not abide in him they would be burned. Read Ezekiel 18. where Jesus gives the gospel.

The Warnings in the Book of Romans

Romans Chapter 4 NASB
1What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” 4Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, 6just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7“BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN,
AND WHOSE SINS HAVE BEEN COVERED.
8“BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE SIN THE LORD WILL NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT.”

Romans Chapter 5
1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ2through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God3And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. 8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 10For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
The above passages are an example of what I discovered by reading the New Testament and choosing to believe what was written. Paul has just given the wonderful words of the Gospel, but now adds the WARNINGS! They get more and more serious and wind up in verses 15 & 16, warning us we can end up serving Satan, resulting in DEATH. Everyone dies. This is eternal death.

Romans Chapter 6
1What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? 3Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death,so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. 5For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6knowing thisthat our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7for he who has died is freed from sin.

8Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. 10For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, 13and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! 16Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, OR of obedience resulting in righteousness?

  • (You and I are either currently serving Satan and sin or serving righteousness!!  Please do not listen to man! They tell us we can live and continue in sin and still go to heaven. Jesus said in Luke 16;13. 13“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.” Also see Ezekiel 18:21&24. It is the state in which we die.

  1. Falling away. Oh how easy to do. I had been listening to Trunews with a wary eye for some time. Any one who worked for TBN and sees it as a christian organization with christian leaders should have given me a clue. BUT, many of his programs are very good so I kept listening, with my guard up. This past week, within his closing statement he said,"the church is new israel." I almost fainted. I had read that he was anti-Zion, but was shocked to hear him say, such a thing. I emailed him immediately my concern as well as the biblical foundations of Israel.

We must remain vigilant to guard our hearts and our minds, we live in difficult times with much surrounding darkness. Will look forward to reading your blog.

  2. Thank you!!!

Rick Wiles cannot be trusted. He promotes the ecumenical movement, as does James and Betty Robison, who I spent time with and loved, but appear to be apostatizing or already apostate. I have several posts on Rick Wiles. You can search for his name. He is not to be trusted.

About 6 of 7 years ago, and after having diner with a Babptist mega church pastor here in Atalanta, I went home with an ache in my stomach. I was so sad. All he wanted to talk about was the materiel of this world. I said Father, your church is such a mess. Immediately, I heard "IT IS MUCH WORSE THAN YOU THINK". I wept. God bless!
