Jacob Prasch - The Scarlet Thread. The Coming Betrayal Of Christians By Christians.

Brothers and sisters, we will be betrayed as the scriptures tell us. The first ones to betray us will likely be those who followed the money preachers, Word of Faith teachers, and countless ear tickling preachers. We now have Andy Stanley greeting "those who are straight and those who are gay".

He has singled out a group to make comfortable which practices abomination. Why did he only list homosexuals? Evil. If this false teacher would tell the truth, most of his listeners would leave. Of course he knows this, but he is deceived and deceiving. His father Charles Stanley told a gay person who said he believed he could be gay and a Christian, that he would lose his reward. He left out ALL those who practice sexual sins will go to the lake of fire which burns forever. Revelation 21:8

Many will fall away when persecution comes. Jacob shows this in the story of Rahab. She protected the Israelite messengers who came in to spy out the land. She was told all of her household who stayed in the house would be protected. If someone went out they would die. We have long since lost the understanding that salvation is conditional. We are being saved. If we fall away, we will perish.

The scriptures are clear that many will fall away. You cannot fall away from a place you have never been. The Old Testament in Ezekiel 18 and the new testament warn us of this. You can never earn salvation, but you can turn away from God and never come back. Just look at the warnings Jesus gave his own disciples.

If you read Joshua 2 you will see the symbolism that shows you must obey and danger of disobedience. Do not be as one of the five virgins who did not have enough oil and were cast into outer darkness.

 A Promise of Protection
14So the men told her, “Our life for yours—even to death—if you don’t betray this mission of ours. Then when the LORD gives us this land, we’ll treat you graciously and faithfully.”
15So she let them down by a rope through the window, since her house was built into the town wall where she lived. 16She told them, “Go out to the hill country, so the search party won’t find you, and hide for three days. After that, you may go on your own way.”
17The men replied, “We’ll be free from our commitment to you to which you’ve obligated us 18when we invade the land, if you don’t tie this rope made with red cords in the window through which you let us down, and if you don’t gather your father, your mother, your brothers, and all of the rest of your father’s household into your house. 19Everyone who leaves through the doors of your house into the street will be responsible for his own death, but we’ll be responsible for anyone who remains with you in the house if even so much as a hand is laid on him. 20But if you report this incident, we’ll be free from the oath to which you’ve made us swear.”
21“Since you put it that way,”m she replied, “I agree.”n After she sent them on their way and they had left, she tied the red cord in the window.
