Are We Doing The Will Of Jesus' Father?

Are we doing the will of Jesus' father? Jesus made it clear that doing the Father's will is what life is all about. If we are not, we are in disobedience and playing with our soul. Please repent and follow Jesus in obedience while there is time.

Five of the ten virgins did not have enough oil in there lamps and were told "with certainty, I do not know you!"  Jesus is love, life and the source of every good thing, but he requires obedience. Those who rebel will be destroyed. He warned us "So keep on watching, because you don’t know the day or the hour”
that he will return.

John 4 ISV

31Meanwhile, the disciples were urging him, “Rabbi,q have something to eat.”
32But he told them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”
33So the disciples began to say to one another, “No one has brought him anything to eat, have they?”
34Jesus told them, My food is doing the will of the one who sent me and completing his work. 35You say, don’t you, ‘In four more months the harvest will begin?’ Look, I tell you, open your eyes and observe that the fields are readyr for harvesting now! 36The one who harvests is already receiving his wages and gathering a crop for eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who harvests may rejoice together. 37In this respect the saying is true: ‘One person sows, and another person harvests.’s 38I have sent you to harvest what you have not worked for. Others have worked, and you have adopted their work as your own.”

Matthew 25 ISV

1“At that time, the kingdom froma heaven will be comparable to ten bridesmaidsb who took their oil lamps and went out to meet the groom.c 2Now five of them were foolish, and five were wise, 3because when the foolish ones took their lamps, they didn’t take any oil with them. 4But the wise ones took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5Since the groom was late, all of them became sleepy and lay down.6But at midnight there came a shout: ‘The groom is here! Come out to meet him!’ 7Then all the bridesmaidsd woke up and got their lamps ready.
8“But the foolish ones told the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out!’
9“But the wise ones replied, ‘No! There will never be enough for us and for you. You’d better go to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’
10“While they were away buying it, the groom arrived. Those who were ready went with him into the wedding banquet, and the door was closed. 11Later, the other bridesmaidse arrived and said, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us!’
12“But he replied, ‘I tell all of youf with certainty, I don’t know you!’ 13So keep on watching, because you don’t know the day or the hour.”g

  1. The phrase in Mt. 25:12 (I don't know you) links back with Mt. 7:23 (I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers). And Mt. 7:21 includes the similar cry of 25:11 (Lord, Lord, open up for us), since 7:21 says, "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

  2. Thank you for your input! We live in a generation which does not fear the Lord. They go on with life as though Jesus is an after thought and not important. So many have not repented or they once repented but are not obeying today. There is no fear of hearing "I never knew you" as they are listening to teachers who tickle the ears. Multitudes are deceived. The Lord is going to shake the world. The tribulation is coming. We must be obedient.
