Last Days and End Times

As strange as it may seem, we have been in the last days, or end times as referred to by many, for at least the last 2,000 years! How do I know? The writer of Hebrews stated the last days were already here when he wrote that epistle:

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. (Heb 1:1,2)

Since that time period there have been many Christian martyrs over the centuries, but the Bible also refers to martyrs who have not died yet in the end times. To be more precise, there will be multiple tens of thousands of holy people from all parts of the world yet to die during the days of the Antichrist:

After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands…. Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Rev 7:9,13-17)

Though there is no direct Scriptural connection, it is highly possible that they are included among the ones who get beheaded and are mentioned here:

… And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Rev 20:4)

To be an over comer and receive eternal life in the age to come (Mark 10:30) you must endure persecutions to the end (Heb. 3:14; Mt. 10:22; Rev. 2:10,11). If we are the last generation in these end times, will you be of that number to be beheaded because of faithfulness to Jesus and not receive the mark of the beast? Your salvation depends upon it! These are facts about holy living in the end times.

Our Lady of Grace Mary Statue IDOL

Watch this short video advertisement for a Mary statue and it becomes obvious how important Mary is to deceived Catholics. Such advertisement, and subsequent sales, are the result of people just believing what they are taught by Catholic leaders rather than reading and believing the Bible.

Mary is called “Our Lady of Grace”! WHY? Catholicism teaches their 1.2 billion followers that ALL “grace” is dispensed through Mary. Hence, Mary’s mythical and fabricated title. That is idolatrous enough, but it gets worse. In this video ad, she is presented as our protector, our refuge, our mediator and heavenly mother! Catholics KISS and bow before Mary statues and certainly this one will be no exception!

Though the price for this Mary statue wasn’t divulged, it costs $46.95. So for that amount you can have your own personal Mary idol of “Our Lady of Grace,” which is MUCH CHEAPER than the Catholic first class relic of Alphonsus Liguori which costs $450! Idol making has been a lucrative business for at least 2,000 years (Acts 19:24,25) – and certainly selling Mary statues in our day has brought in financial gain too.

The Mythical Religious Life of a Catholic

May ALL Catholics destroy their idols and turn from all their dependence on their mythical sovereign Mary, who can’t help us! Catholics have so exaggerated her importance that the “approved” Fatima apparitions label her as “THE WAY” to God! Shocking and deadly! The truth is JESUS is our ONE mediator (1 Tim. 2:5) and Savior. He alone has the ONLY name in which salvation is found (Acts 4:12) and he is “THE WAY” to God (Jn. 14:6) – NOT Mary. Mary is NOT on the throne ruling and reigning in heaven with Jesus! To believe what Catholicism teaches about their mythical Mary is enough to damn sincere Catholics to hell. People who believe what the Catholic church teaches are NOT Christians! Catholics need help and truth from God’s word and ONLY YOU can reach some! Much more vital truth is found here from a former Catholic.

(3) ALL who practice sorcery, witchcraft and the like are "detestable" to the Lord, according to Scripture.

"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD ..." (Deut. 18:10-12).

"They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire. They practiced divination and sorcery and sold themselves to do evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking him to anger. So the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them from his presence ..." (2 Kings 17:17,18).

(4) Ahaziah sought to know the future about his own injury and he died because he consulted a forbidden source, which was Baal-Zebub (2 Kings 1:2 cf. v. 16).Learn from his example and seek only the truth stated in the Bible regarding future things.
(5) The Apostle Paul cast a fortune telling demon out of a girl by saying,

"In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her" (Acts 16:16-18).

When the demon departed, her ability to foretell the future was also gone!(6) To consult a medium for guidance is to show yourself unfaithful to God:

"Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance" (1 Chron. 10:13).

(7) The rich man could not communicate with his brothers after death, nor could Lazarus (Lk.16:19-31). Don't be deceived by mediums and seances that give a different impression.

(8) A sorcerer opposed the Apostle Paul and Barnabas from preaching the Word of God to a man who wanted to hear it. Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to the sorcerer,

"You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind, and for a time you will be unable to see the light of the sun" (Acts 13:6-11).

(9) Ex-sorcerers at Ephesus who converted to Christianity publicly burned their scrolls (Acts 19:18,19). This is how they proved their repentance (Acts 26:20) in first-century Christianity.

"Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds. A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas" (Acts 19:18,19).

(10) "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars -- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death" (Rev. 21:8). The only hope such people have is to turn from their evil ways.Manasseh was an Old Testament example of a person who "practiced sorcery, divination and witchcraft," yet he got saved and proved his repentance by his deeds (2 Chron. 33:1-20). Simon is a New Testament example of a sorcerer who got saved at the point of Acts 8:9-13, yet later his heart was not right before God (Acts 8:20,21).

(11) Don't be deceived by mediums and spiritists, even though some can perform miracles (Exo. 7:11). They are not speaking or acting in accord to Scripture and therefore have "no light of dawn."

"When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn" (Isa. 8:19,20).

(12) Satan, demons and all spiritists will one day bow their knees and confess that "Jesus Christ is Lord" (Phil. 2:9-11), even if they disbelieve this now.

(13) Jesus Christ died for you! No matter if you have or have not practiced sorcery or consulted a spiritist. Jesus Christ can and will save you from your sins and enable you able to enter heaven. Jesus said, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me" (Lk. 9:23). Ask Jesus to forgive you for all your past sins and accept Him as your Savior and Lord. Turn from all your sins. It's important that you tell someone verbally what you have done (Rom.10:9,10). Church membership, water baptism, good works, the Rosary, Mary, Sacraments and the Ten Commandments cannot save you. Put all (100%) of your trust in Jesus. Prove your repentance by your deeds (Acts 26:20)."So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (Jn. 8:36). The true plan of salvation is found in the Bible. Read and obey the Holy Bible. Caller: Hello, Larry. You’re the best. And thank you, Joe, Joel, for your positive messages and your book. I’m wondering, though, why you cite that Larry’s earlier question about how we get to heaven. The Bible clearly tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth and the light and the only way to the Father is through him. And it’s not really a message of condemnation but of truth.

Joel Osteen: Yeah. I would agree with her. I believe that. That’s what you ....

Larry King: So then if you (?) was not going to heaven.

Joel Osteen: No. I, I ... Well, here’s my thing, Larry, is I can’t judge somebody’s heart, you know. I don’t know. Only God can look at somebody’s heart and so I don’t know. I just, to me it’s not my business to say, you know, this one or this one isn’t. I just say, "Here’s what the bible teaches," and I want to put my faith in, you know, in Christ, and I just, I think it’s wrong when you go around saying you know, "You’re not going, you’re not going, you’re not going" cause it’s not exactly my way. I’m just, I’m not going to be God.

Larry King: But you believe your way.

Joel Osteen: I believe my way. I believe my way with all my heart. But ah,

Larry King: So someone who doesn’t share it ...

Joel Osteen: Well,

Larry King: It’s wrong isn’t it ...

Joel Osteen: Well, I don’t know if I look at it like that. I would, I would present my way, but I’m just gonna let God be the judge of that. I mean, I don’t know. I don’t know.

Larry King: So you make no judgment on anyone?

Joel Osteen: No, but I ...

Larry King: What about atheist?

Joel Osteen: No, I just, you know what? I let, I let, someone, I’m gonna let God be the judge of who goes to heaven or hell. And I just again, I present the truth, and I say it every week, you know, I believe it’s a relationship with Jesus. But you know what? I’m not gonna go around telling everybody else, if they don’t want to believe that, that’s gonna be their choice. God’s gotta look at your own heart. God’s gotta look at your heart. And only God knows that.

Observations

1. Joel Osteen wants to remain positive in his messages rather than preaching the Bible’s message. (The Biblical emphasis is on TRUTH and SPIRITUAL REALITY, not being positive, especially since being positive from one man’s perspective can be much different from a different person’s view. Preachers are commanded to preach the word (2 Tim. 4:2) and often it can be very disturbing, especially to deceived people in SIN.)

2. Joel Osteen has a double message (like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Catholics, eternal security teachers, etc.). The caller mentioned the Bible truth that Jesus is the only way to heaven. He said he agreed, then afterwards contradicted himself and the caller by saying he didn’t know about an atheist having salvation!

3. Smiley Joel Osteen uses the old, “I can’t judge somebody’s heart .... only God can look on somebody’s heart” phrase for his compromise. He then claims to present the truth! (This is another contradiction because he will not say an atheist, Muslim, Hindu, Catholic, witch, murderer, thief, liar, sexually immoral person, etc. will be cast into the lake of fire, UNLESS that person repents and commits to the Lord Jesus to follow him for initial salvation (Acts 20:21; 26:20; etc.) and endures to the end for final salvation (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; etc.). If Joel Osteen doesn’t know the plan of salvation he surely shouldn’t be preaching! Joel Osteen also doesn’t know if another person is saved or not, yet the Bible is clear:

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:10)

Furthermore, Paul knew a sorcerer (like Harry Potter) was a child of the devil, proving we can tell if another is unsaved by their present tense behavior:

You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? (Acts 13:10)

Dear reader, if you have been programmed by Joel Osteen or even by any of the eternal security teachers, then you also need to know a Christian can tell if another is saved or not by their present tense behavior, as Scripture shows.

4. How can Joel Osteen say he doesn’t know if someone who disagrees with him is wrong, yet says he preaches the Bible. Doesn’t he know the Bible is final authority and 100% absolutetruth? Joel Osteen's preaching is NOT the way New Testament preachers felt about their message. They knew the truth and declared it as fact for the benefit of others and in obedience to God.

5. Since Joel Osteen doesn’t know if he is right or wrong, he needs to resign and learn the Biblical message before he teaches another sermon. How can Joel Osteen refute those who oppose sound doctrine and thereby qualify for spiritual leadership (Titus 1:9) when he continues to spread his ear-tickling, positive, wishy-washy, lukewarm, dribble?

Joel Osteen, if you ever read this: Repent before God, then publicly renounce what you have been teaching for your own SOUL’S sake and the sake of others.

The Real Mother Teresa Unvarnished

Mother Teresa (1910-1997) was a woman who spent much of her life helping the very poor, but she was also a Rosary-reciting Catholic nun, who embraced the standard Catholic doctrines. Do you think, therefore, she could have been promoting God’s truth, as found in the Bible? Decide for yourself. The following are various statements either by or about Mother Teresa. They are very revealing regarding this:

“All is God—Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, etc., all have access to the same God.” (12/4/89 Time Magazine Interview with Edward Desmond, pp. 11, 13)

“If in coming face to face with God we accept Him in our lives, then we are converting. We become a better Hindu, a better Muslim, a better Catholic, a better whatever we are .... What God is in your mind you must accept” (from Mother Teresa: Her People and Her Work, by Desmond Doig, [Harper & Row, 1976, p.156]).

“I convert you to be a better Hindu or a better Muslim or a better Protestant. Once you’ve found God, it’s up to you to decide how to worship him.” (“Mother Teresa Touched Other Faiths,” AP, Sept. 7, 1997).

“I’ve always said we should help a Hindu become a better Hindu, a Muslim become a better Muslim, a Catholic become a better Catholic” (A Simple Path, p. 31).

“If the individual thinks and believes that his or her way is the only way to God, then that is their way of salvation” (pp. 74-75). (Mark Michael Zima, Mother Teresa: The Case for the Cause)

“At the word of a priest, that little piece of bread becomes the body of Christ ... Then you give this bread to us, so that we too might live and become holy ...” (Mother Teresa’s speech made at the Worldwide Retreat for Priests, Oct. 1984)

“When the priest is there, then can we have our altar and our tabernacle and our Jesus. Only the priests put Jesus there for us .… Jesus wants to go there, but we cannot bring him unless you first give him to us. This is why I love priests so much. We could never be what we are and do the things we do without you priests who first bring Jesus to us.” (Ibid)

“So let us ask the help of our Lady! She is a Mother full of grace, full of God, full of Jesus. Let us ask her to be our Mother, guiding us and protecting us .... It is true that we are already being helped by our tremendous devotion to Mary. She is our patroness and our Mother, and she is always leading us to Jesus” (Mother Teresa, Be Holy, p. 75).

“Again that great crowd—I could see great sorrow and suffering in their faces—I was kneeling near Our Lady, who was facing them. — … I heard her say, ‘Take care of them—they are mine—bring them to Jesus—Carry Jesus to them—Fear not. Teach them to say the Rosary—the family Rosary and all will be well. —Fear not—Jesus and I will be with you and your children’” (Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light, p. 99).

A co-worker of Mother Teresa’s was asked this question: “These people are waiting to die. What are you telling them to prepare them for death and eternity?” Mother Teresa’s co-worker (a nun) stated, “We tell them to pray to their Bhagwan, to their gods.” (Interview with Christian News)

The April 7-13, 1990, issue of Radio Times tells the story of Mother Teresa taking care of a dying Hindu priest. “She nursed him with her own hands and helped him to die reconciled with his own gods.”

How discouraging and misleading it is to hear professing Christians speak of Mother Teresa as though she was the epitome of what a Christian should be. Though Mother Teresa was compassionate, she clearly was not Biblically sound nor did she promote God's truth. Sadly, I can find no evidence that she ever changed. GOD BLESS YOU.

John Piper, Myth Maker. Guard Your Soul.

John Piper, DANGEROUS Myth Maker

Who is John Piper? John Piper (born in Jan 1946) is a Calvinist and was the “pastor” at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 33 years. In reality John Piper is a grace changer, a license for sin charmer and a dangerous ear-tickling heretic. As a typical eternal security teacher, who knows how to candy-coat the security-in-sin gospel unashamedly, link that to grace in his own mind and present a mythical god he remains influential and well received. As Peter taught about such teachers who target new converts, John Piper addresses Mara, a new convert (below)! It’s just like Peter wrote 2,000 years ago about the John Piper type!

These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. (2 Pet 2:17,18)

John Piper’s Message To a New Convert!

Just escaping from those who live in error (2 Pet. 2:18) refers to new converts.  John Piper tells Mara about his mythical god of eternal security and distorts saving faith. Piper said:

“Don’t ever start counting your good deeds to see if you have enough of them to make God accept you. That’s not the way He accepts you. That’s what the devil wants you to do, is to relate to God like that.” He explained,“You are saved, Mara. That is, you’re forgiven for all the bad things you have done and will ever do; you are accepted by God as His child; you are given eternal life by faith in Jesus not by doing good things or being a good girl. That’s so crucial.”

God in His sovereignty, Piper clarified, will maintain believers’ relationship with Him. “God keeps you from unbelief; God holds you in his hand.” Referring to a Bible passage that proclaims that God knows His followers and no one can snatch them away from Him, Piper urged, “Be confident that God will keep you, God will make your relationship good.” (http://www.christianpost.com/news/john-piper-to-young-believer-be-confident-that-you-belong-to-god-dont-count-on-good-deeds-131301/ )

Observation From John Piper’s Snare To Mara

• How can John Piper say Mara is saved, since Piper is a Calvinist and Calvinists believe election is secret, that is, you can’t tell the wheat from tares! In light of that dogma in Calvinism, John Piper can NOT assure her, “You are saved, Mara.” Perhaps, Mara is just a false convert! John Piper is not consistent with his own doctrine, but none of his supporters seem to notice or care!
• John Piper also taught this new convert in so many words: her future sins are already forgiven before they are committed; minimizes “being a good girl” and assures her the sovereign God will maintain her good relationship with him, that is, once saved always saved! If that was true there would be no spiritual fatalities! However, the sad truth is, there have been many apostates. When analyzed, John Piper’s words are empty (see Eph. 5:6), dangerous and designed to entice new converts into thinking eternal salvation is theirs without obedience, in bold contrast to Scripture:

[Hebrews 5:9 is the ONLY passage which has the words eternal salvation in it.]

And, once made perfect, he [Jesus] became the source of eternal salvation for all who OBEY him (Heb 5:9)

who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.(Titus 2:14)

John Piper opposes the obedience of Hebrews 5:9 as you just read, but thinks he teaches Biblical grace. After Piper is finished with Mara, if she made the mistake of believing what he said, she won’t be eager to do what is good(Titus 2:14) and surely won’t fear the lethal effects of sin! She also won’t be holding on to what she has and will, consequently, lose her crown (Rev. 3:11)!That is just a small part of the problem with John Piper’s poisonous teachings. John Piper must also oppose other salvation related passages, for his Reformed theology won’t allow them. Here are a few:

The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal 6:8,9)

By this gospel you are saved, IF YOU HOLD FIRMLY to the word I preached to you. OTHERWISE, YOU HAVE BELIEVED IN VAIN. (1 Cor 15:2)

You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, HE WILL NOT SPARE YOU EITHER. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. OTHERWISE, YOU ALSO WILL BE CUT OFF. (Rom 11:19-22)

If you love a lie and a false hope of salvation, don’t worry — people like John Piper aren’t going away. They have been here since the days of Jude (vs. 3,4) and since truth rejecters desire doctrinal mythology (2 Tim. 4:3,4 cf. Isa. 30:10,11), teachers like John Piper will sadly accommodate them to their own spiritual harm (and his too)! Unlike John Piper, Paul’s grace message taught a definite serious spiritual danger regarding the illusion that Christians are standing firm, the very goal of John Piper’s message to Mara:

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! (1 Cor 10:12)

John Piper wants us to believe something totally different, which Christians should hate:

“God keeps you from unbelief; God holds you in his hand.” … “Be confident that God will keep you, God will make your relationship good.” (ibid.)
