Wealth and the Christian believer.

Have you ever noticed what the Lord Jesus taught about riches and how they have a very serious adverse impact on entering the kingdom of God? ==>

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." (Mat 19:23-24)

WHY? Perhaps this is the reason ==>

“The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the DECEITFULNESS OF WEALTH CHOKE IT, MAKING IT UNFRUITFUL.” (Mat 13:22)

Wealth will choke out the fruitfulness of God’s word in one’s life for there will be too many distractions with riches (places to go, things to buy, temptations, etc.). We must bring forth “fruit” or we will perish==> http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/fruit-or-fire.htm
