If you are not seeking the Lord with all of your heart, you must do so! When you sit under a pastor or teacher, but do not know the scriptures, how can you judge him? Especially when most of the teachers of today only have a short "sermon" and most of what they say is THEIR OWN OPINIONS! They place more emphasis on their opinions than God's! Their castles are filled with laughter and pleasant words. "In their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words". If you are in a place where you have no bible, trust in Jesus the Messiah totally and he will guide you in the truth and will let you know if a teacher is false.
2 Peter 1 ISV
20First of all, you must understand this: No prophecy in Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,21because no prophecy ever originated through a human decision. Instead, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
The following has much to do with sexual sin and its consequences. (1)People are following false teachers in their acceptance of immoral ways. (2)The angels who went after strange flesh by marrying human women. Their offspring corrupted human DNA., as they did with animals which was making "all flesh" corrupt. (3)Sodom and Gomorrah was widely known for her sexual sins. These things sound a lot like our generation.
2 Peter 2 ISV
1Now there were false prophets among the people, just as there also will be false teachers among you,
- who will secretly introduce destructive heresies
- and even deny the Master who bought them,
- bringing swift destruction on themselves.
- 2Many people will follow their immoral ways,
- and because of them the way of truth will be maligned.a
- 3In their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words.
- The ancient verdict against them is still in force, and their destruction is not delayed.b
4For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, (see Genesis at bottom)
but threw them into the lowest hellc
and imprisoned them in chainsd of deepest darkness,
holding them for judgment;
5and if he did not spare the ancient world but protected Noah, a righteous preacher, along with seven others when he brought the flood on the world of ungodly people;
6and if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and destroyed them by burning them to ashes, making them an example to ungodly people of what is going to happen to them;
7and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man who was greatly distressed by the immoral conduct of lawless people— 8for as long as that righteous man lived among them, day after day he was being tortured in his righteous soul by what he saw and heard in their lawless actions—
- 9then the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials
- and to hold unrighteous people for punishment on the day of judgment,
- 10especially those who satisfy their flesh by indulging in its passions and who despise authority.
Genesis 6 ISV
1Now after the population of human beings had increased throughout thea earth, and daughters had been born to them, 2some divine beingsb noticed how attractive human womenc were, so they took wives for themselves from a selection that pleased them.d 3So the LORD said, “My Spirit won’t remaine with human beings forever, because they’re truly mortal.f Their lifespang will be 120 years.”
4The Nephilimh were on the earth at that timei (and also immediately afterward), when those divine beingsj were having sexual relations withk those human women,l who gave birth to children for them. These childrenm became the heroes and legendary figures of ancient times.n
