Christian Love and Faith

Christian Love and Faith

Christian evangelism
Christian love and faith can be manifested in various ways. One of the least recognized ways is through Christian evangelism. Since the GREATEST need a person has is the salvation of the SOUL, then it is obvious that Christians should be trying to help the lost and deceived find eternal life. Just that insight alone should motivate Christians, but Christians have also had the love of God shed abroad in their hearts (Rom. 5:5). Evangelism and pastoral care for the sheep (to build them up and help keep them saved) were outstanding characteristics of the Apostle Paul, as his various epistles prove. Paul labored for SOULS that way for several reasons, especially because of his Christian love and faith:
The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. (1 Tim 1:14)
So, Paul had an abundance of Christian love (as well as grace and faith) and that was expressed by his fervent zeal to get souls saved and help the saintsNothing could stop Paul, including beatings, death threats, imprisonments, sleepless nights, lack, etc. He shed his blood nine times early in his ministry, but kept pressing on. He was like a bulldozer plowing along in Christ, being compelled by Christian love and faith.
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. (2 Cor 5:14,15)
But other Christians also manifested their Christian love and faith through evangelism too. For example, the Thessalonians did that:
The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia–your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, (1 Thess 1:8)
The Christians in that congregation were noted for holding out the word of life, which was a clear reflection of their faith in God. But what about Y-O-U? If you profess to be a Christian, what are you doing to help win to the Lord Jesus the multitude of lost souls around you? That is their GREATEST need. Are you aware that you have been entrusted with the gospel and will have to account to God for that trust one day? Verbally acknowledging Jesus before others will splash back a wonderful spiritual blessing on you (Mt. 10:32). To help you win the lost, also consider a gospel tract evangelism ministry.  Salvation literature is very powerful but greatly underestimated in our day. You can purchase Biblically sound literature in bulk at Evangelical Books or print them FREE yourself from Poor Man’s Free Gospel Tracts and CartoonsRemember to manifest your Christian love and faith by spreading the gospel in your area. SOULS hang in the balance. God bless you.

Friends in high places. 1 Corinthian 15:33-34

The Bible tells us "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places". Ephesians 6:12  Who  is friends with the rulers of the darkness of this world? It also tells us "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." Ephesians 5-11 Who is having fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness & not reproving them?

It is never right to do a little wrong to obtain the greatest possible good.
It is NEVER right to sin a little bit, NEVER!                 Ecumenists WILL do
There is no scripture to support this.                                   a little wrong!
Jesus would never even think of this!                      But the little wrong is WRONG!
People who love the truth will divide from people who love lies.

Ephesians 4 does NOT teach this unity! If  we don't "speak the truth in love"
we have a false "unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" which is exactly what
Ecumenism attempts to do. It's so subtle, but still wrong and sinful.

Birds of a feather, flock together!
Behold the emergence of the ecumenical apostate church, the bride of Antichrist!
'Positive Christianity" is the enemy of the cross of Christ.
The Ecumenical Movement is a Vehicle Going to a One World Religion!

The Word of God, a Wonderful Gift From God

word of God Bible final authority flawlessOne of the greatest gifts God has ever given mankind is His written Word, the word of God. His Word has numerous blessings for us. Please consider the following descriptions given by the Holy Spirit to illustrate the various benefits of this priceless gift. It is seed (Mk. 4:4 cf. 4:14) through which one is born again (1 Pet. 1:23). As plant seed has potential for plant life, the Word of God has the potential of imparting eternal life. This is why God's Word is also known as the word of life (Phil. 2:16). His Word not only imparts life, but it also sustains life! As a living plant is sustained by periodic waterings and food derived from the soil, God's Word is likened unto water (Eph. 5:26) and food (Mt. 4:4). More specifically, it is both milk and solid food (Heb. 5:12-14). In fact, as newborn babies crave milk, we are to crave pure spiritual milk, so that we can grow up in our salvation (1 Pet. 2:2). This word translated crave in the Greek means: earnestly desire greatly; greatly long after; intensely crave or lust. We are to keep a continuous appetite for God's Word to insure spiritual growth, which is commanded (1 Pet. 2:2)!
God's Word is also life and health (Prov. 4:22). This word rendered health can also be translated medicine; cure, deliverance or remedy. God's Word has a positive effect on our spirits, souls and bodies, just like medicine does in the natural to a sick body.
Furthermore, God's Word is enduring (1 Pet. 1:23), eternal (Mt. 24:35), flawless (2 Sam. 22:31; Psa. 18:30) and pure (Psa. 12:6). Regarding its purity, we read:
"And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times" (Psa. 12:6).
In other words, God's Word is perfectly pure and free of the slightest flaw!
bible the only word of God
It is also living (Heb. 4:12). In fact, as a living force, God's Word is at work in Christians (1 Thess. 2:13)! How is it working in us? It impedes our sinning (Psa. 119:9-11) and sanctifies us (Jn. 17:17). With all this in mind, is it any wonder why our adversary, the devil, tries to greatly hinder our personal time in God's Word?
The Bible doesn't just contain the Word of God, it IS the Word of God! Jesus taught that every minute detail will be fulfilled (Mt. 5:18). It is truth (Jn. 17:17) and cannot be broken (Jn. 10:35). It is the ultimate source of truth on whatever it refers to, not just spiritual things. In fact, it is even called "the word of truth"whereby we have been given birth (Jam. 1:18).
His written Word is "more certain" than His audible Word (2 Pet. 1:19)! (What incredible assurance of truth the Bible offers.) The early church believed the final court of appeal and our absolute standard of truth is God's written Word, not some man-made creed or confession (2 Tim. 3:16,17). Scripture has been given for correction, doctrine, training in righteousness and reproof. This word, Scripture, in the Greek is Graphe and means: document or writings. In other words, His written Word is the objective standard for truth that He has given mankind. This means that if a dream, vision, prophecy, teaching, testimony, experience, etc. is in contradiction to His written Word, it CANNOT be from the same source as His written Word, since God could never contradict Himself. We are to test everything (1 Thess. 5:21) and everyone (1 Jn. 4:1) with the Bible.
Furthermore, Jesus declared that His very own words will be the basis of judgment for all who reject Him and will condemn them (Jn. 12:48). See also Rom. 2:2. In these terrible times (2 Tim. 3:1) with things taught by demons (1 Tim. 4:1) and many being deceived by false prophets and false teachers (Mt. 24:11,24; 2 Pet. 2:1.), we MUST stick like the proverbial glue to the message of the Bible to be safe. This should give us all added incentive to learn the Bible and hold on to its eternal truths.
Like the blood of Christ, which alone can wash away our sins, the Word of God enables mankind to enter God's Paradise Kingdom, for through God's Word we can learn His plan of salvation(2 Tim. 3:15). Peter was right in believing that Jesus had the words of eternal life (Jn. 6:68). This, obviously, is the ultimate benefit that can be derived from learning God's Word. There are, however, many other derived benefits. Knowledge on any given subject mentioned is promised (Psa. 119:105,130). If only we would learn to first go to our Creator's handbook for successful living, many of life's woes would never come! For example, one reason Proverbs was written was to impart wisdom in dealing with people. We are specifically told that meditation in and obedience to God's Word is the key to success and prosperity, from God's perspective (Josh. 1:8). Besides imparting knowledge, God's Word will cause us to live meaningful Christian lives here by bringing forth fruit (Psa. 1:1-4), which He requires from us (Lk. 13:6-9; Jn. 15:1-8).
Job was one of the most righteous in Old Testament times (Ezek. 14:14). This man's attitude towards God's Word is exemplary. Notice how he valued the Word of God:
"I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread" (Job 23:12b).
One with a true understanding of God's Word will regard it as precious or "treasured" as Job said! This righteous man's attitude can be contrasted to the backslidden in heart, who refused to repent in Jeremiah's day:
"... The word of the LORD is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it" (Jer. 6:10c).
God's Word can cut our hearts like a sword (Heb. 4:12), since it is spirit (Jn. 6:63), as was the case in Jeremiah's day. Peter found the same to be true when he preached the Word of God to the sinful who were "cut to the heart" (Acts 2:37). This word cut in the Greek means: pierce thoroughly! They were hurt by God's sharp, double-edged sword of the Spirit, which brought their true, spiritual condition to light, before they repented and got saved. See 2 Cor. 7:10.
The Word of God in the lips of a faithful Christian has much potential in the lives of many. (In other words, your life can benefit others eternally.) This, in part, is why the devil will send trouble or persecution our way when we decide to live by and speak His truth (Mk. 4:17). Because of this trouble or persecution, some have "fall[en] away" after they believed for a while (Lk. 8:13). The devil will send adversity because God's Word ruins his kingdom of deception and bondage. He also steals the Word of God away from the hearts of those who hear the truth and reject it (Mt. 13:19)! All of the aforementioned should prove, beyond doubt, that we should tremble at His Word (Isa. 66:2) because of its powerful effects, which will stretch into eternity for us all. Remember these important details about the word of God for your own good.

Calvinism, Free Will & the Early Church

Calvinism
Free Will & the Early Church
Copyright © Tim Warner - 10/2003

We stated in the introduction that Calvinism has its roots in the views of St. Augustine. This man was also largely responsible for the acceptance of a-millennialism into mainstream Christianity, and the Roman Catholic doctrine that the Catholic Church is now God's Kingdom on earth. Prior to his conversion in the fourth century, Augustine was heavily involved in a pseudo-Christian Gnostic cult that held heretical ideas regarding the nature of God as well as the person of Christ. All of the Gnostic cultists were heavily influenced by the writings of the Greek philosophers. And Augustine was no exception.

Fate vs. Free Will Throughout Church History

III. Fifteenth through Twentieth CenturiesArminians, Wesleyans, most Baptists, Catholics (Jesuit), OrthodoxCalvinists (Reformed), Catholics (Dominican), Moslems, Buddhists
Prior to the writings of Augustine, the Church universally held that mankind had a totally free will. Each man was responsible before God to accept the Gospel. His ultimate destiny, while fully dependent on God's grace and power, was also dependent on his free choice to submit to or reject God's grace and power. In the three centuries from the Apostles to Augustine the early Church held to NONE of the five points of Calvinism, not one. The writings of the orthodox Church, for the first three centuries, are in stark contrast to the ideas of Augustine and Calvin. Man is fully responsible for his choice to respond to or reject the Gospel. This was considered to be the Apostolic doctrine passed down through the local church elders ordained by the Apostles, and their successors. Below we have listed a few representative quotes from the earlier writers in order to give the flavor of the earliest tradition regarding election and free will. Some deal with the subject of perseverance and apostasy.
Clement of Rome (AD30-100)
"On account of his hospitality and godliness, Lot was saved out of Sodom when all the country round was punished by means of fire and brimstone, the Lord thus making it manifest that He does not forsake those that hope in Him, but gives up such as depart from Him to punishment and torture. For Lot’s wife, who went forth with him, being of a different mind from himself and not continuing in agreement with him [as to the command which had been given them], was made an example of, so as to be a pillar of salt unto this day. This was done that all might know that those who are of a double mind, and who distrust the power of God, bring down judgment on themselves? and become a sign to all succeeding generations." (Clement, Epistle to the Corinthians, XI)
Ignatius (AD30-107)
"Seeing, then, all things have an end, and there is set before us life upon our observance [of God’s precepts], but death as the result of disobedience, and every one, according to the choice he makes, shall go to his own place, let us flee from death, and make choice of life. For I remark, that two different characters are found among men — the one true coin, the other spurious. The truly devout man is the right kind of coin, stamped by God Himself. The ungodly man, again, is false coin, unlawful, spurious, counterfeit, wrought not by God, but by the devil. I do not mean to say that there are two different human natures, but that there is one humanity, sometimes belonging to God, and sometimes to the devil. If any one is truly religious, he is a man of God; but if he is irreligious, he is a man of the devil, made such, not by nature, but by his own choice. The unbelieving bear the image of the prince of wickedness. The believing possess the image of their Prince, God the Father, and Jesus Christ, through whom, if we are not in readiness to die for the truth into His passion, His life is not in us." (Ignatius, Epistle to the Magnesians, V)
Barnabas (AD100)
"The Lord will judge the world without respect of persons. Each will receive as he has done: if he is righteous, his righteousness will precede him; if he is wicked, the reward of wickedness is before him. Take heed, lest resting at our ease, as those who are the called [of God], we should fall asleep in our sins, and the wicked prince, acquiring power over us, should thrust us away from the kingdom of the Lord. And all the more attend to this, my brethren, when ye reflect and behold, that after so great signs and wonders were wrought in Israel, they were thus [at length] abandoned. Let us beware lest we be found [fulfilling that saying], as it is written, “Many are called, but few are chosen.” (Epistle of Barnabas, IV)
Justin Martyr (AD 110-165)
"But lest some suppose, from what has been said by us, that we say that whatever happens, happens by a fatal necessity, because it is foretold as known beforehand, this too we explain. We have learned from the prophets, and we hold it to be true, that punishments, and chastisements, and good rewards, are rendered according to the merit of each man’s actions. Since if it be not so, but all things happen by fate, neither is anything at all in our own power. For if it be fated that this man, e.g., be good, and this other evil, neither is the former meritorious nor the latter to be blamed. And again, unless the human race have the power of avoiding evil and choosing good by free choice, they are not accountable for their actions, of whatever kind they be. But that it is by free choice they both walk uprightly and stumble, we thus demonstrate. We see the same man making a transition to opposite things. Now, if it had been fated that he were to be either good or bad, he could never have been capable of both the opposites, nor of so many transitions. But not even would some be good and others bad, since we thus make fate the cause of evil, and exhibit her as acting in opposition to herself; or that which has been already stated would seem to be true, that neither virtue nor vice is anything, but that things are only reckoned good or evil by opinion; which, as the true word shows, is the greatest impiety and wickedness. But this we assert is inevitable fate, that they who choose the good

The Book of Jude Packs A Powerful Punch Against The Grace Changers

jude emergency epistle grace changersThe book of Jude is a small epistle with a powerful punch, especially for those who proclaim a false grace message. This epistle shows how God sees those false teachersregardless how likeable and popular among man. This epistle is twisted, discarded and/or ignored by most in our day, that is, those who support financially or attend any once saved always savedor Calvinistic congregation, ministry, outreach, mission, etc.
book of Jude Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ: Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. (Jude 1,2)
book of JudeThis is the same Jude (or Judas) who is mentioned with James—two half-brothers of the Lord Jesus through their common mother Mary:
Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things? (Mt. 13:55,56)
Mary, the mother of Jesus, had at least 4 other sons and at least 2 daughters. Mary did not remain a virgin after Jesus was born, as Catholics are taught.
Jude describes himself as a servant (or slave) of Jesus Christ. We are kept by Jesus Christ only as we follow him. The righteous can die spiritually.

Jude Tells Us This As Being The Underlying Reason Why They Distort Grace

book of Jude Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license to sin and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. (Jude 3,4)

The Book of Jude Tells Us All To Fight Against The Grace Changers

Jude was urging all Christians (men and women) to fight against the grace changers. This is the purpose of his epistle, which was written because of that particular false teaching. If this command to contend against the grace changers is ignored, it is a sin and nothing less.
They were teaching a dangerous counterfeit grace as the genuine. Their grace was a license for immorality, which makes it just like the once saved always saved (or eternal security) doctrine of our day. Hence, this was a very serious problem, which all Christians were to actively oppose, as in our day. This shows how important true grace teaching is and how it is not and can not be a license for immorality, the essence of Calvinism.
The grace changers are clearly shown to be spiritually dangerous people, who do much damage. Jude describes them here as condemned and godlessNot even once does Jude say anything complimentary about the grace changers. They needed to be stopped, not ignored. They are to be fought against by all Christians, not supported and helped. They are not helping the cause of God, but instead hurting it. Remember these key points.
book of Jude Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. (Jude 5)
Jude starts to refute the false grace message by mentioning how God saved the Israelites from Egypt, then destroyed the ones who didn’t believe. This alone shows God does destroy the very ones he previously saved, if they become unbelieving. Such is a good point against eternal security in our day too. (Jude referred to Numbers 14:27-37, which is also mentioned in 1 Cor. 10: 5-11.)

READ THIS POWERFUL Verse By Verse Teaching From 2 Peter 2

book of Jude And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. (Jude 6)
Jude next refers to the unfaithful angels of the past, who abandoned their home and are now bound in chains awaiting judgment. They weren’t safe either. There is never security for man nor angels who are unfaithful to God.
book of Jude In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings. (Jude 7, 8)
Thirdly, Jude mentions Sodom and Gomorrah. For anyone to give themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion will mean the same punishment—eternal fire. It seems that the grace changers were doing such, who Jude also calls dreamers here.
Little known towns which surrounded Sodom and Gomorrah and which were also destroyed are listed here:
The whole land will be a burning waste of salt and sulfur—nothing planted, nothing sprouting, no vegetation growing on it. It will be like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in fierce anger. (Deut. 29:23)
Jude also said those false teachers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings.
book of Jude But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” (Jude 9)
Verse 9 is one of the great mysteries of the Bible and only mentioned here. Why did the devil want Moses’ body? We might never know the answer. But the point in mentioning this is that Michael the archangel, the chief warring angel, didn’t even bring a slanderous accusation as the grace changers did.
book of Jude Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them. (Jude10)
They spoke abusively and gave out slanderous accusations.
book of Jude Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion. (Jude 11)
Jude goes into details about those false teachers by referring to three evil OT characters they resemble: Cain, Balaam and Korah. Cain murdered his own brother, but also had an easy, false religion, which was rejected by God:
In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, buton Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. (Gen 4:3-5)
John also wrote of Cain:
Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. (1 John 3:12,13)
Besides taking the way of Cain, those false teachers also rushed for profit into Balaam’s error. That implies that they taught the way they did for the finances they would get by spreading their counterfeit grace and license to sin. Those people were getting rich by disseminating their dangerous lies about grace which were hurting people spiritually. That is also how it is today.
When Jude said they were destroyed in Korah’s rebellion he referred to their spiritual destruction, which came upon them because of their doctrines.
book of Jude These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead. (Jude 12)
The grace changers were people in the office of pastor (shepherd). They were really ferocious wolves in sheep’s clothing, the worst type of wolves for sheep to be around, especially if undetected and in close contact.
Jude said they were twice dead, likening them to a fruitless tree that has been uprooted. This implies the grace changers were once Christians. The same is implied in 2 Peter 2, a close parallel to Jude.
book of Jude They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever. (Jude 13)
Jude continues on with a description of the enemy. They are clearly unsaved at this time and going to hellblackest darkness.
book of Jude Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jude 14,15)
Jude quotes from the Book of Enoch to apply the part about ungodly sinners to the grace changersThis quote from Jude is not an endorsement of inspiration for the Book of Enoch, which anyone who has read it should readily be able to detect.
book of Jude These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. (Jude 16)
Besides all of the other derogatory ways Jude describes the grace changers he continues to add to the list.
book of Jude But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. (Jude17-19)

The Book of Jude Proves It Is FALSE Teaching Which is Divisive

Besides everything else, the grace changers were divisive! Remember: It is false doctrine that is divisive, not sound teaching. NOTE what Paul wrote:
I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. (Rom 16:17,18)
We are commanded to keep away from false teachers like those who teach eternal security.
book of Jude But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. (Jude 20, 21)
Jude moves away from the grace changers and how God sees them to tell the Christians to build themselves up and keep themselves in God’s love.
book of Jude Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. (Jude 22,23)
Jude now instructs them how to treat others in spiritual trouble, while hating their sin-stained spiritual clothes. Christians are to be spiritual firemen rescuing others from the fire.
book of Jude To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. (Jude 24, 25)
After all of that, he comforts the Christians by telling them that God is able to keep them from falling, etc. Such doesn’t mean Christians can’t fall, because other Scriptures show such does occur (Mt. 26:31; Lk. 8:13; etc.). It states thatnot falling is possible, which once saved always saved people sometimes teach against when they say a Christian sins all the time. The grace changers have a double message, which clashes with itself, but it doesn’t seem to be noticed or make any difference to the sin-loving proponents. Remember the above truths about the false grace teachers, which the book of Jude speaks of.

John MacArthur and Getting Forgiven For Taking The Mark of the Beast

John MacArthur and Getting Forgiven For Taking The Mark of the Beast

How well do you know the teachings of John MacArthur sermons regarding the mark of the beast? Do you think John MacArthur is sound? Please be aware that there are many FALSE teachers, which have crept into the churches.John MacArthur In our day the same ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing are also on radio, TV, have their own study Bibles, etc. Those ear-ticklers come in various forms, from eternal security teachers to prosperity teachers to infant baptism teachers, etc. All of that is plenty bad enough, but especially to teach one can take the mark of the beast and be redeemed is super dangerous for the last generation, which is fast approaching. Believe it or not, the well-known and popular Calvinist, John MacArthur, does that very thing!

John MacArthur Poison About The Mark Of The Beast

Listen carefully to MacArthur’s ear-tickling explanation, taught from his pre-trib rapture point of view.
The question is, if you’re living in the tribulation period, and you take this mark — in other words, you identify with the beast’s empire — will you still be able to be redeemed? And I think the answer to that is, yes!
To hear MacArthur’s heretical words on this, click John MacArthur is a Calvinist heretic.
Though John MacArthur believes in eternal security, he didn’t base that statement on once saved always saved! But regardless, John MacArthur teaches that one can take the mark of the beast and afterwards be redeemed! To commit that single sin is a sure formula for damnation for all who believe MacArthur and are living during the time the Antichrist and the mark of the beast, which isn’t here yet.

The Angelic Warning vs MacArthur

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.” This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus. (Rev 14:9-12)
That Bible warning is specifically geared for the saints  (or redeemed) to know, beyond any doubt, that taking the mark of the beast is NOT like sins which can be repented of such as sexual sins, drunkenness, theft, murder, etc. To receive the mark of the beast, which will be needed to buy or sell (Rev. 13:16,17) at that future point, will bring instant spiritual death to the saints who yield under the pressure then. The same act of disobedience will cause them to be tormented for ever and ever! That shows the extreme danger in what John MacArthur, and others, are teaching.

Related Scriptures on The Mark of the Beast

Those who enter God’s kingdom from that last generation are mentioned in the following two passages from Revelation:
And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God  (Rev 15:2)
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Rev 20:4-6)
NOTE: Though it is crystal clear from Rev. 14:9-12, the aforementioned two Scriptures excludes any mention of even one person who received the mark and afterwards entered God’s kingdom after their death because they repented! To receive the mark of the beast is certainly to forfeit being victorious over the mark of the beast (Rev. 15:2)! Please remember that. That alone proves John MacArthur is dangerously wrong.
Furthermore, Rev. 20:4-6 shows the over comers had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. In other words, they NEVER received the mark of the beast, needed to buy or sell, and suffered the earthly consequences of their obedience and faithfulness to God when the antichrist is reigning. They endured and will reign with the Lord Jesus. (2 Tim 2:12). They didn’t worship the image of the beast and maintained their testimony of Jesus (Rev 6:9; 12:17), though they shed their blood to do so (Rev 17:6). Rev. 12:11 is most important and should be memorized:
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. (Rev 12:11)

Do NOT Believe MacArthur!

If you follow the advice of John MacArthur or others who teach the same heretical way about taking the mark and getting forgiven afterwards (like Chris Pinto, Mike Desario and Jimmy DeYoung), you will surely be damned.DO NOT BE DECEIVED. There are many savage wolves in sheep’s clothing in our day and some might be your friend or favorite teacher! That warning about wolves, includes MacArthur, so do not be deceived about taking the mark of the beast!

The 8:13's and No Eternal Security

The 8:13s and NO Eternal Security

The Scriptures refuting the doctrine of demons commonly called eternal security (or once saved always saved or the perseverance of the saints) are plentiful to someone who has had his eyes opened by the Holy Spirit.Christian lady
They are everywhere, but it is so nice to have several in easy reach by knowing the Biblical references. That is where the 8:13s come in.

They Believe For A While

Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. (Luke 8:13)
This is a key verse to note when studying the Parable of the Sower, but one that has been carefully avoided by the eternal security teachers! Why? Because it proves thata believer can cease believing and die spiritually through persecution. In other words it is a NO eternal security verse.

Simon

Simon himself believed and was baptized, so he had a saving faith at one point:
Simon himself believed and was baptized.  And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw. (Acts 8:13) … When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money (Acts 8:18) and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 8:19) Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! (Acts 8:20) You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. (Acts 8:21) Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. (Acts 8:22) For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.” (Acts 8:23)
Simon, who got converted to Christianity and water baptized (Acts 8:13), later was full of bitterness and captive to sin. His heart was no longer right with God, according to Peter and he would perish in that condition. He needed to repent and get forgiven. His future sins were not automatically forgiven as heretics want us to believe. Also, Peter (who Catholics say was the first pope) did not have Simon confess his sins to him! Instead, he told Simon to pray to the Lord.

Spiritual Death Through Sin

Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation–but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. (Rom 8:12) For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, (Rom 8:13)
It is apparent that Paul is addressing true Christians (saints) and giving them a hell warning without mentioning hell. To die spiritually, as he taught would happen under those conditions, would place the saint back on the road to hell again.

Weak Christian Brother

The last 8:13 to remember is from 1 Cor.:
So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. (1 Cor 8:11) When you sin against your brothers in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. (1 Cor 8:12) Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall. (1 Cor 8:13)
Example is very powerful. In the above case, a weak Christian would eat food that his conscience forbids him to eat because he saw another Christian do such. That in turn would cause him to fall and be destroyed spiritually, according to true grace teaching.
